The Carignan from Israel is a beautiful, light, and easy drinking wine in a Pinot Noir type style, where the Merlot has more color and depth for heavier foods. The Syrah from Hopland, CA is dark, intense and rich with aromas of dark chocolate, fudge, figs, carob, black pepper, smoky mesquite and blackberry pie. It has good structure with granular tannins and a coating finish of blueberry syrup. |
