As wine is considered holy in Judaism, wine has its own special rules of Kashrut (Kosher). At Israel Wine Company, we look first at the quality of the wine from Israel, but understand that some people drink only certified Kosher wines. For this reason we are offering the 'Certified Kosher Only' club option. These wines follow our same strenuous selection process and stand-up to our quality standards.

Certified Kosher Packages:

• 2 bottles per month option - $49 (+ shipping)
• 4 bottles per month option - $95 (+ shipping)
• 6 bottles per month option - $145 (+ shipping)

Kosher Quarterly Club
These are some or all of the same wines from the monthly club, only you will receive them on a quarterly basis. This saves on shipping and is better for the environment. Also, if 6 bottles a quarter (2 bottles a month) is too much for you, try our 4 bottle quarterly option.

• 4 bottles per Quarter option (every 3 months)- $99 (+ shipping)
• 6 bottles per Quarter option - $149 (+ shipping)

kosher wine made simple
Unlike Kosher food, wine is a little different. There are two different kinds of Kosher wine:

Mevushal (cooked)- These are wines that are supervised by a Kosher certification process (all ingredients are Kosher) and also undergo a flash-pasteurization process (heated to around 160 F). After flash pasteurization, anyone can touch these wines. We don't carry any of these wines.

Shabbat Observant- These wines are also supervised by a Kosher certification, but only Orthodox, Shabbat observant Jews can 'touch' the wine. From the minute the grapes enter the winery, until it is poured into a glass. These wines are usually made in the 'traditional' method, but only by religious Jews. As many of the small boutique wineries are family run and operated, if they are not an Orthodox family, it is very cost prohibitive to hire observant staff to make the wine.
